The Bridge Between Nations: Meeting the Destined Partner of LAODI

The Bridge Between Nations: Meeting the Destined Partner of LAODI

In my journey to understand the soul of LAODI Rum in Laos, I discovered that the spirit’s rebirth was not a solo achievement.

It was driven by a powerful partnership that felt like a true masterpiece of destiny. Today, I want to introduce the man who holds the key to the modern LAODI: CEO Mr. Sihata Rason.

Mr. Sihata is far more than a business partner to Mr. Inoue; he is a soulmate in their shared mission.

Coming from an incredibly distinguished lineage in Laos—so prominent that his father’s passing was marked by a state funeral equal to that of a former president—Mr. Sihata possesses a quiet authority and a deep love for his country.

What makes him the perfect bridge for LAODI is his profound connection to Japan. Having spent eight years studying abroad in Japan, he understands our culture, our values, and our meticulous approach to craftsmanship from the inside out.

As a “Japanese Whisky and Rum Expert,” I felt a deep resonance when I saw their relationship.

At Bar Little Happiness in Hiroshima, I often speak of “Hitsuzen” (Inevitability)—the idea that certain encounters are destined to happen.

The meeting of Mr. Inoue’s passion and Mr. Sihata’s noble vision was inevitable. It was this bond that allowed LAODI to rise and become a rum that represents the pride of Laos and the precision of Japan.

When you taste LAODI at my counter, you aren’t just drinking rum; you are tasting the harmony of two cultures brought together by a fateful partnership. In the quiet sanctuary of our bar, surrounded by 1,000 bottles, let us reflect on the beautiful “inevitability” that creates such world-class spirits.
