Blending Across Borders
Ichiro Akuto’s blending philosophy for the World Blended series is to use Chichibu spirit as a foundation and explore how it interacts with character from other whisky traditions — Scottish, Irish, perhaps Canadian. The result is not a compromise but a synthesis: Chichibu’s particular fruited richness, integrated with different regional characters to create something that couldn’t exist as any single-origin product.
